Drama Reigns on Queens of Drama
“Queens of Drama” is a reality series that focuses on a group of former daytime and primetime actresses who have banded together to create, sell, and produce a new series. The goal is for the show they create to be picked up by the end of the season. Some well known actresses are included in the series like Vanessa Marcil, Donna Mills, and Crystal Hunt.
The series takes an interesting look behind the scenes as these women transcend from being in front of the cameras to working behind the scenes to create an entire show. While viewers are treated to a more personal look at these famous women and the hard work it takes to get a series off the ground, there is lots of drama along the way too. Even though the characters are more fictionalized versions of themselves, these women still find tough moments along the way and tempers flair. The series airs on the POP network, and while the world is waiting for season 2 to begin, the first season is being shown again for viewers to enjoy.
Each brings her own spin to the show, as well as her own fan following. Each of these women has had a lucrative career on camera, including Donna Mills with over five decades of acting under her belt. Together, they all offer their own spin from things they have learned in life and on each show.
Crystal Hunt is known for her character Lizzie Spaulding who she portrayed on “Guiding Light” from 2003-2006 as well as her character Stacy Morasco whom she played from 2009-2010 on “One Life To Live”. She began her career at the age of 2 when she started competing in pageants, and eventually went on to star in numerous commercials including one for Walt Disney. Her true fame came when she landed the role of Lizzie on the popular CBS soap “Guiding Light”.
Metacritic told Hunt has received a nomination for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her role on “Guiding Light”. The actress now portrays herself on her newest series, “Queens of Drama” where she is working with fellow drama actresses in hopes of creating a new television series. The series has completed it’s first season, which had 10 episodes, and is currently working on the second season. Along with her soap opera roles and her current series, Hunt has found herself in some of Hollywood’s bigger movies including Magic Mike XXL and Problem Child 2. Crystal Hunt can be found on Facebook where she has a buzzing fan community.
