Securus, the leader in inmate communications, safety, and security, has upgraded their THREADS analytical tool to THREADS 3.1 in December 2015 according to a report by PR Newswire. This version is upgraded from a Silverlight platform to an HTML 5 platform. Then what does this change mean for users of the Securus system?
Existing Securus users who download the latest THREADS 3.1 version will be able to obtain this update for free. The update features a streamlined platform that has deleted any unnecessary system actions. The search function, record loading, and navigation have all been enhanced with ease of use for the client. These actions have resulted in increased performance and a more user friendly system.

Securus has not sacrificed security measures at all with this upgrade. In fact the THREADS update to an HTML 5 platform allows a more integrated system compatible with other Securus services for a more efficient investigative tool. Key features added for investigation services include: context sensitive reports, real time analysis, custom mapping and printing, and the option of listening to SCP calls while in the THREADS application.

THREADS 3.1 is the latest version in the gold standard of inmate security. The THREADS platform has been used for years to uncover suspicious inmate calling patterns, communications, inmate associations, and fraternizations. THREADS offers focused leads and action intelligence for investigators.

Located in Dallas, Texas, Securus Technologies are currently servicing over 3,000 corrections, law enforcement, and public safety facilities and over 1,000,000 inmates across the country.
