Dr. Mark Holterman has spent more than 40 years in the medical field working as a Pediatric surgeon and a teacher who strives to help others. He started his medical career studying at Yale University for his undergraduate degree then completed his PhD at University of Virginia. He has served as Chief Pediatric surgeon, Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics, Instructor in Surgery, and Research Associate during his career. Patients love his caring bedside skill and brag about being seen on time. His office is described as being well organized with a good support team. He is an extremely good listener with children as well as their parents.
Dr. Mark Holterman founded and now presides as CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Mariam Global Health. Striving to assist in the advancement of medical technology, Mariam Global Health works to help children all over the world. One of the many companies Mariam Global Health provides assistance for is the organization IPSAC-VN (International Pediatric Specialists Alliance for the Children of Vietnam). They strive to help make it possible for life-saving medical care to be given to children in Vietnam.
Dr. Mark Holterman has helped form several companies through Mariam Global Health Fund. Those companies specialize in medical advancement such as stem cell therapy, regenerative medicine, medical devices and oncology. He currently teaches medical students as well as surgical residents at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Mark Holterman is a well known and respected doctor among the medical community. He has been the recipient of multiple awards for his outstanding work in the pediatric field.
