Shervin Pishevar Says a Crash is Coming

After immigrating to the United States from Tehran, Iran with his family as a youth, billionaire venture capitalist, Shervin Pishevar had little notion of one day becoming one of the world’s foremost investors. Attending the University of California, Berkeley, Shervin Pishevar majored in cellular molecular biology, but upon graduating, the co-founder of Sherpa Capital and Virgin Hyperloop One, honed his entrepreneurial skill set, laying the foundation for what he has become today.

In his portfolio are a number of lucrative companies that Shervin Pishevar identified during their initial phases, including Tumblr, Warby Parker, Rap Genius, Dollar Shave Club, TaskRabbit, and Uber. His ability to identify these types of bonafide upstarts on a consistent basis have put Shervin Pishevar in elite company, as he currently sits on the board with the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship. For these reasons, Mr. Pishevar often garners a considerable audience when he chooses to speak, which often occurs on social media, where he utilizes Twitter to convey a number of ideas regarding the trajectory of the United States economy. He had been absent from the social media platform since the middle of December in 2017, but recently returned, promptly setting the world of trending topics ablaze.

In what has been described as a tweetstorm, Mr. Pishevar discussed a number of issues that would change the climate of the United States for years to come. One of the most alarming of these issues is the eventual crash of the US stock market, which has been operating on shaky legs for most of 2018. If Shervin Pishevar is correct, the stock market will drop by 6000 points in the “upcoming months,” which would leave nearly every market in disarray. While there have been many proponents of the stock market, most notably Donald Trump, who championed victories for the market in the early part of the year, their positions seemed to be steeped in misinformation as the Dow Jones plummeted by 1000 points in the days following Shervin Pishevar’s Twitter rant. This prompted Mr. Pishevar to call out the “Cheerleader-in-Chief,” by claiming that “President’s should not be cheering the stock market.”
