Stream Energy Cares for the Veterans
Dallas, Texas-based Stream Energy pointed out its philanthropic arm known as, Stream Cares, will carry on its charitable activities throughout the country.
The direct selling energy company, which has been active in benevolent measures for years, was one of the first businesses to financially support the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts with its donation of $25,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
Steam Energy Stream Cares, which was set up to intentionally champion and fund causes, also collected contributions such as food, materials and other goods for the relief undertakings.
In giving back to the community, Stream Energy has also built up involvements with Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, Texas Tornado Benefit and more.
For example, Stream Energy and its associates partnered with Hope Supply to deal with the homeless population in the Dallas area, according to a patch.com article.
At the annual event called Splash for Hope more than 1,000 North Texas, homeless children enjoyed a local water park as well as meals at no cost. Both Hope Supply and Stream Energy, who have been teaming up for more than four years, regularly supply diapers, clothing and more for homeless children.
Stream Energy worked with the Salvation Army after tornadoes battered the North Texas area on December 26, 2015. The company matched donations made by its associates.
Stream Energy also participated in providing services to Dallas-area veterans and their families by teaming up with Operation Once in a Lifetime. The company has supplied transportation to less fortunate military veterans and their families to a Texas Roadhouse for a special holiday meal of steaks, ribs and more free of charge.
The company also co-sponsored a company-wide Toys for Troops toy drive and organized an American Girl Doll Experience for the daughters of the military veterans where each child selected a doll for herself.
While the company, which was launched in 2005, is headquartered in Dallas, energy services from Steam Energy are available in Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. Mobile and home services are available throughout the country.
